Shawn Taya Jeanes

Shawn Taya Jeanes is a senior at Monache High School, and a student ambassador for her Pathway, the Environmental Science Academy. As a pathway ambassador, Shawn Taya has meetings every month to discuss upcoming events, plan new activities, and strengthen leadership skills. In addition, Shawn Taya spends time to educate students and recruit peers to be part of our program. Shawn Taya has found that one of the benefits of ESA is the opportunities made available. Some of these  opportunities are community service, internships, and of course the advisors. Shawn Taya plans to attend a four-year university and major in political science. She is looking
forward to continue educating students on environmental issues and ecology.

Sofia Fernandez is a senior at Monache High School, and a student ambassador for her Pathway, the Environmental Science Academy. Some interesting things that she does as an ambassador are attend meetings and help plan activities that the council can use to help the schools and students of the PUSD pathways interact. She also likes working on the many exciting activities that her pathway has to offer, she has helped her school with creating and planting native plant plots for her school's greenhouse native plant garden. She is currently working on her Senior environmental science project as well. After High school she plans to go to UC Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, or UCLA to pursue a degree and career as an environmental scientist.
